Brown Brothers Pinot Grigio 2008 ($18).

In style this wine sits somewhere between Italian grigio and French gris, though it has more freshness and lively acid than gris. Brown Brothers has been ramping up this wine with improved fruit selection.  Beautiful savoury character with a nice thread of lemon and pear.  Crisp acid sustains a long palate.  89/100.

Good match: Pan-fried sardines with tomato and olive salad.
